Responsibilities
- Contribute to team projects and goals with team support.
- Build scalable collections platform solutions for managing delinquent loans and implementing recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with teammates, product managers, backbook risk teams, stakeholders, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in a required on-call rotation.
- Balance delivery speed and software quality while protecting systems from downtime.
- Communicate work, risks, and trade-offs and contribute to team growth and development activities.
Requirements
- Previous work or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Experience using Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug other engineers’ code, and provide code review feedback.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a proactive approach to professional growth.
