Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using React and Python.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, scalable, and performant code.
- Debug and optimize applications to improve performance.
- Support process automation, innovation, process simplification, quality, service, and operational resiliency initiatives.
- Demonstrate adherence to LSEG Data standard policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with data modelers, analysts, business users, and product teams.
- Document data ownership and establish integrations with enterprise data repositories.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
- Adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks and maintain awareness of industry practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Python developer in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with pandas, NumPy, datetime, and regular expression functions.
- At least 2 years of front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- At least 1 year of experience using SQL Server to write basic queries and execute stored procedures.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
- Experience creating documentation with systems such as Confluence and tracking bugs with Jira.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks including unittest, pytest, and Jest.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is desirable.
- Experience with Databricks, ADF, Glue, ETL, and ELT is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, adaptability, and ability to explain technical information to non-technical partners.
