Responsibilities
- Guide coding best practices and contribute to the team’s strategic and technical direction.
- Develop high-quality, performant software using SOLID design principles.
- Build and support scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems, services, and microservices.
- Develop and deliver new features for Fastmarkets’ web, desktop, API, Excel, and mobile products.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers on design, coding, and software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, SRE, architecture, product, and business analysis teams across multiple geographies.
Requirements
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, concurrency, distributed computing, and cloud computing concepts.
- Strong experience with .NET and C# and ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Azure Service Fabric, Blob Storage, Service Bus, Event Hubs, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with REST, WebSockets or SignalR, gRPC, messaging, caching, Redis, unit testing, continuous integration/deployment, and test automation.
- Experience developing microservices and distributed programming infrastructure.
- Ability to mentor and grow junior developers and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in documentation.
- Highly collaborative, strategic, results-driven, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Experience or interest in using AI tooling to enhance and accelerate software development.
