Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Own QA processes across the software development lifecycle, including test planning, execution, reporting, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define requirements and comprehensive test strategies.
- Identify, log, and track bugs through resolution.
- Lead adoption of automation initiatives and contribute to QA process improvements and best practices.
- Maintain test environments, staging configurations, and data management strategies.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to support early issue detection.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and staff.
- Ensure testing aligns with HIPAA and HITRUST regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software QA experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated and manual tests for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Experience with REST API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not required.
- AWS experience, including S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway, is desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data standards is desirable.
- Understanding of CloudFormation or Terraform is desirable.
- Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or k6, security testing, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Ability to work US Pacific Time hours is desirable.
