Responsibilities
- Build integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs, including authentication, incremental sync, rate limits, error handling, and schema drift.
- Develop and improve the Integrations Framework, testing harnesses, and scaffolding to make future integrations faster to deliver.
- Build customer interfaces for connecting, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting integrations, including health visibility, actionable errors, credential rotation, and key rotation.
- Design self-service capabilities for backfills, reconnects, and diagnostics.
- Make platform capabilities available through APIs for human and agent-driven workflows.
- Own features end-to-end from proposal and specification through implementation and maintenance.
- Use AI tools across code exploration, prototyping, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation, while applying judgment about quality and effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience shipping and owning production features.
- Strong TypeScript skills, including modern frontend development; React is preferred.
- Hands-on Go experience or strong backend experience with Python, Java, Node.js, or C# and enthusiasm for learning Go.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party APIs, including authentication flows, pagination, rate limits, partial failures, and breaking changes.
- Ability to work across the stack and own features from the database through the user interface.
- Working proficiency in SQL.
- Experience developing solutions in the cloud or using GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience using AI tools throughout the engineering workflow.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Demonstrated interest in building high-quality web and SaaS applications.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bonus: experience with integration platforms or extensibility frameworks, cloud or SaaS billing data, BigQuery, data pipelines, Dagster, Airflow, AI-powered product features, LLM integration, intelligent automation, FinOps, or cloud financial management products.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is a bonus qualification.
