Responsibilities
- Provide technical strategy and guidance for medium-to-complex engineering initiatives.
- Drive strategic programs of work, including proof-of-concept development.
- Provide technical consultancy across projects and delivery teams.
- Lead strategic practice development and establish technical direction.
- Own nominated technical assets, including roadmaps and technical direction.
- Develop software solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain development infrastructure and automation frameworks.
- Lead complex troubleshooting, debugging, code maintenance, and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor and upskill junior, mid-level, and broader engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams, offshore teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering discussions, blog posts, and knowledge-base articles.
- Influence solution and engineering design direction and support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience implementing modern and emerging technology stacks.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, particularly in Java and APIs.
- Experience with AWS, UI, APIs, and continuous integration tools.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with development infrastructure, automation frameworks, and build-management tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Ant.
- Strong automation, problem-solving, debugging, code maintenance, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and guide engineering teams.
- Experience working across Scrum teams, offshore teams, and vendors.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or master’s degree in computer science.
