Base Salary
$141k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Take real-time anomaly detection and device risk models from development into production for payout and blocking decisions.
- Create and maintain a labeled fraud dataset and define evaluation methods, baseline metrics, and fraud-efficacy measures.
- Design and evolve streaming and batch features for the Redis online feature store in partnership with data engineering.
- Plan and drive improvements to the ML training and serving stack, including evaluating SageMaker, Kubeflow, and KServe while managing real-time latency.
- Investigate fraud spikes and user and device behavior to develop new detection signals, features, and models.
- Monitor model and feature health, write runbooks and data lineage documentation, and participate in on-call for the fraud detection stack.
- Collaborate with backend, data engineering, and product partners to ship end-to-end fraud ML outcomes.
Requirements
- Several years of experience building ML models and taking them through production deployment, monitoring, and post-launch iteration.
- Hands-on experience with fraud detection, abuse prevention, risk scoring, or anomaly detection involving sparse, noisy, or adversarial labels.
- Experience with low-latency model serving and online/offline feature pipelines, such as Redis, Kafka, or Airflow.
- Ability to build labeled datasets from imperfect signals and design evaluation methods that remain effective as fraud patterns shift.
- Strong Python and SQL skills and working knowledge of a cloud ML platform such as AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, or KServe.
- Ability to independently take ambiguous problems to shipped outcomes, document work, collaborate across backend, data, and product teams, and use AI coding tools.
- Experience with ad fraud, install or attribution fraud, rewarded or incentivized advertising, unsupervised or semi-supervised detection, graph-based device and user linking, ML serving migrations, Kubernetes MLOps, mobile ad tech, mobile games, or app monetization is a plus.
Benefits
- Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance, commute subsidy, employee stock ownership, retirement or pension plans, vacation and personal days, new-parent and family-care leave, office snacks, mental health and wellbeing support, employee resource groups, employee assistance, training and development, and volunteering and donation matching.
