Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
- Create applications that improve SpaceX operations and build prototypes to validate designs and technical constraints.
- Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
- Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Work extended hours or weekends when required by launch cadence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack development experience.
- Programming experience in Python, C#/.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
- At least 1 year of rigorous experience building single-page web applications.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery, software system design, testing, deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and build or package management tools.
- Experience with UNIX-like systems, infrastructure-management tools, in-stream data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, front-end JavaScript frameworks, and relational databases is preferred.
- Applicants must meet applicable ITAR authorization requirements.
