Responsibilities

Own frontend architecture and system design across multiple products, defining target-state architecture and migration paths.
Set strategy for micro-frontends, monorepos, shared dependencies, build orchestration, module boundaries, and versioning.
Architect and roll out design systems across web and mobile, including tokens, component contracts, theming, adoption, and versioning.
Define state management and responsive design standards across products.
Author RFCs and design decisions, analyze trade-offs, and build consensus across teams.
Own release planning, feature flags, staged and canary rollouts, and rollback strategy.
Lead frontend performance optimization, bundle analysis, performance budgets, and memory profiling.
Define frontend security practices covering authentication, token handling, CSP, XSS, and CSRF prevention.
Own frontend CI/CD, deployment, observability, monitoring, and debugging strategy.
Mentor senior and lead engineers through design and code reviews and help shape frontend hiring standards.
Collaborate with backend and platform teams on backend architecture and API contracts.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
13+ years of frontend and web engineering experience with demonstrated Principal- or Staff-level impact across multiple teams.
Deep expertise in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and a primary frontend framework such as React at scale.
Experience designing large-scale UI systems and leading incremental migrations using dual-running, codemods, and compatibility layers.
Strong command of frontend performance profiling, observability, and accessibility standards including WCAG.
Excellent technical communication through RFCs and design documents, with a track record of influencing without authority.
