Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the SAS Platform products code base and SAS 9 platform solutions.
- Design and build web applications for streaming data orchestration flows for SAS ARD solutions.
- Develop mid-tier services, REST APIs, full-stack web applications, and thick-client applications.
- Contribute to system, tool, framework, and product feature design and implementation.
- Implement solutions for scale, performance, usability, and secure software development.
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and provide support for a smooth user experience.
- Perform unit, regression, integration, and other disciplined software testing and documentation.
- Define user stories and acceptance criteria and review business and solution requirements documents.
- Mentor associate developers and collaborate on technical decisions.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Core Java, AWT, Swing, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, OOAD, design patterns, and microservice design patterns.
- Experience with XML, JSON, REST APIs, mid-tier services, and multi-tier full-stack web applications.
- Familiarity with HTML front-end development, Bootstrap, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Jira, Confluence, Gradle, Jenkins, Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Knowledge of unit, regression, and integration testing and experience with test-driven and CI/CD development practices.
- Understanding of software development processes, quality standards, and secure software development policies.
- Experience with Agile development practices, including daily scrums, iteration planning, retrospectives, and test-driven development.
- Strong debugging, logical problem-solving, learning, information-evaluation, recommendation-development, presentation, and feedback-seeking abilities.
