Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, optimize, and review embedded real-time software for Linux-based products.
- Contribute to system architecture, requirements definition, software design, and allocation of requirements to software components.
- Develop device drivers, device trees, boot loaders, Yocto-based distributions, and Embedded Linux environments.
- Support custom-hardware prototyping, low-level board bring-up, and hardware-software integration troubleshooting.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level testing and resolve software defects.
- Implement cybersecurity, encryption, data-protection, and secure-development features and support relevant compliance activities.
- Use source-control, release-management, debugging, diagnostic, and software lifecycle tools.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance across geographically distributed teams.
- Contribute to performance optimization, refactoring, automation, and software-quality improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience developing embedded software on Linux-based platforms and advanced skills in C, C++, and shell scripting.
- Experience with device drivers, Yocto build systems, device trees, boot loaders, Linux kernel concepts, and embedded processor architectures such as ARM or PowerPC.
- Knowledge of embedded hardware including flash memory, ADCs, and RTC devices, plus industrial protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, RS-232, RS-485, or Modbus.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, and J-Link, and software vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of SQLite, JSON, secure coding, encryption, data security, open-source licensing, virtualized development environments, and agile development practices.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar platforms for software lifecycle management and CI/CD implementation.
- Preferred experience includes industrial measurement products, UML, RTOS environments, Qt, static code analysis, build automation, multithreaded applications, IEC 62443, EU-CRA, threat modeling, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and English-language skills.
