Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to define testing strategies.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for web, desktop, mobile, and API platforms.
- Create and execute test plans and test cases covering new and existing functionality, scalability, edge cases, and real-world usage.
- Test file-management capabilities including syncing, sharing, storage, file operations, and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot issues, reproduce bugs, determine root causes, and write actionable bug reports.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle from requirements review through release.
- Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Improve testing processes, methodologies, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional SDET or test-automation experience.
- Knowledge of test-automation concepts and tools or frameworks such as Selenium.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python or Shell for troubleshooting and test execution.
- Strong understanding of software-testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience testing highly distributed applications for scale, robustness, and real-world scenarios.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience testing complex web applications and extensive experience testing Windows and macOS desktop applications.
- Strong file-management testing experience, including file operations, synchronization, and data integrity.
- Experience with manual testing tools and techniques, API testing tools, bug tracking, and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on software engineering experience is preferred.
- Experience testing iOS or Android applications, understanding of encryption, privacy, and security testing concepts, familiarity with Agile/Scrum, and performance-testing experience are preferred.
