Responsibilities
- Manage technical and operational risk for a multi-asset electronic trading business.
- Monitor production-service availability, latency, performance, and overall health.
- Manage application configuration and configuration-as-code practices across production environments.
- Drive safe deployments using Git-based workflows and SDLC tooling.
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools and frameworks that automate manual tasks and reduce operational toil.
- Support pre-release engineering through system-design consultation, capacity planning, and release reviews.
- Diagnose production issues, coordinate incident responses, manage post-mortems, and resolve day-to-day technical problems.
- Collaborate with trading desks, quantitative strategists, technology teams, sales business users, and external vendors.
- Improve platform stability, performance, and disaster-recovery readiness.
Requirements
- At least two years of professional experience in an SRE, Production Engineering, or DevOps role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Experience supporting and maintaining high-availability production platforms.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, FIX, and network topologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Preferred experience includes large-scale automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and financial-market concepts such as electronic trading, exchange connectivity, and trade lifecycles.
