Responsibilities
- Create and maintain API and microservice designs and documentation.
- Deliver high-quality code supporting end-to-end customer journeys.
- Design, build, and maintain distributed containerized platforms.
- Build and deliver continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for automated deployments.
- Review and sign off user stories and low-level designs in line with architecture principles.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure consistent engineering standards and code quality.
- Partner with the IT Project Manager to deliver against agreed project plans.
- Remove delivery blockers, communicate progress, and escalate risks.
- Collaborate with Scrum Leads and Test Quality Assurance to meet pipeline needs and quality gates.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Capability with Bash or Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix or Linux, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed containerized platforms.
- Experience delivering continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for automated deployments.
- Strong technical documentation skills for designs, production support walkthroughs, and release checklists.
- Understanding of engineering standards, code quality practices, and peer review approaches.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, operations, business analysts, Scrum Leads, and Test Quality Assurance.
- Clear communication skills for managing progress updates, escalating risks, and driving delivery to plan.
