Senior Software Engineer (Python / Go (B2B) - Remote

Responsibilities
- Build and improve B2B functionality for BigCommerce merchants, including account management, order tools, quote management, and sales representative masquerade.
- Develop software for a robust ecommerce platform and APIs that support customer growth and partner integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, designers, business representatives, and external partners.
- Write tested and maintainable code while maintaining high code quality.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation after the introductory period and required training.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience building products.
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of modern programming and design principles.
- Ability to write tested, maintainable, high-quality code.
- Willingness to learn and select appropriate technologies and patterns for the job.
- Strong communication skills across conversations, Slack, email, and code reviews.
- Ownership, accountability, and emerging leadership qualities.
- Willingness to teach and learn collaboratively.
- Must be located in Australia.
- Work authorization visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
