Responsibilities
- Develop messaging, orchestration, networking, and mission-management software for autonomous vehicle systems.
- Build resilient, distributed services that integrate with Lattice OS and coordinate multi-vehicle operations.
- Own software from initial development through testing, fielded deployment, and operational use.
- Deploy, debug, and test software in laboratory, test-site, and real-world environments.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and program-management teams to deliver operational capabilities.
- Travel up to 30% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 2–3+ years of production-grade C++, Rust, or equivalent experience in a Linux development environment.
- Experience building low-latency, high-performance software solutions.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Experience taking software from development through fielded deployment and operational use.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes systemd, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, DDS, k3s, STIG’d RHEL, physical-system deployment, government reference architectures, and military systems or operational tactics.
- An active Secret U.S. security clearance is preferred.
