Responsibilities
- Build and maintain messaging, orchestration, networking, and distributed mission software for autonomous vehicle systems.
- Integrate services with Lattice OS and coordinate fleets of vehicles, mission payloads, and effects.
- Diagnose and root-cause complex networking and routing failures in multi-hop networks.
- Read packet captures, use network debugging tools, and perform end-to-end testing of unicast and multicast data flows.
- Build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments with up to 30% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Ability to diagnose complex networking or routing failures in multi-hop networks and use packet captures and tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark.
- Experience with unicast and multicast data-flow testing, TCP/UDP, socket programming, MTU, TLS/mTLS, NTP, and PTP.
- CCNA or equivalent experience, Linux proficiency, systemd, Kubernetes, container orchestration, Git, and GitHub experience.
- 2–3+ years of experience using C++, Rust, or an equivalent mid-level programming language.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include distributed-systems experience, asynchronous programming, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, Linux FRR, and an active Secret clearance.
- Track record of high ownership and bias for action.
