Base Salary
$77k - $97k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and support analytics systems and customer-facing healthcare applications.
- Design and implement new software solutions using Java and related technologies.
- Review peer code, provide technical development guidance, and debug existing code.
- Document application specifications, designs, features, and operations before production rollout.
- Collaborate with business partners and internal stakeholders to define complete and accurate technical requirements.
- Deliver project work and assigned special projects within estimated timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 0–1 year of professional Java development experience.
- Strong understanding of core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, generics, streams, lambdas, data structures, algorithms, and exception handling.
- Experience with a build tool such as Maven or Gradle, an IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, Git, relational databases, and SQL.
- Ability to read, debug, explain, test, and securely implement code, including input validation, parameterized queries, and avoidance of hard-coded credentials.
- Ability to use and critically validate AI coding assistants such as Claude or GitHub Copilot for development, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Spring or Spring Boot, JUnit, Mockito, REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, concurrency, multithreading, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud platforms, Angular, React, and agentic or CLI-based coding tools.
- Preferred qualifications also include experience with AI prompting, AI-generated unit tests or documentation, and understanding of AI limitations.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and meet delivery timelines.
