Responsibilities
- Deliver complex, multi-region enterprise payment integration projects.
- Design scalable, highly available architectures for global merchants with large transaction volumes.
- Define and enforce technical standards across implementation engineering teams.
- Serve as a strategic technical advisor during pre-sales and delivery engagements.
- Shape payment architecture standards and influence the broader ecosystem.
- Promote reliability, scalability, security, and system design best practices.
- Mentor and support Implementation Engineers across the organization.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to influence platform evolution and product design.
- Manage critical escalations and maintain the stability of high-scale merchant integrations.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering or technical consulting with deep API integration experience.
- Deep expertise in system design and distributed systems.
- Ability to operate as a solution architect and trusted advisor in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience contributing to production-level systems and making pragmatic engineering trade-offs.
- Comfort engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers.
- Strong decision-making skills in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Commitment to raising technical excellence across teams and organizations.
