Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, deploy, and support C#/.NET backend services on AWS.
- Process, parse, validate, and transform high-volume X12 EDI transactions such as 837 and 835 documents.
- Develop backend APIs and enterprise-level applications using database, integration, and architectural patterns.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL stored procedures, execution plans, queries, and complex data transformations in MSSQL.
- Query, parse, and manipulate structured XML data stored in MSSQL.
- Debug transaction issues across payers, clearinghouses, and trading partners.
- Contribute to shared platform libraries and reusable services across product initiatives.
- Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution, code reviews, and production support.
- Deploy applications and help ensure their performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Participate in software development team activities and apply software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or another engineering or technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of software development experience using C#/.NET technologies.
- Proven experience with complex software projects, leading development initiatives, and enterprise application design, development, and deployment.
- Strong proficiency with C#/.NET, backend development, database design, SQL Server, MSSQL, Entity Framework, Git, and GitHub.
- Hands-on AWS experience with serverless, messaging, storage, and database services is preferred.
- Experience with Azure or AWS, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, CI/CD practices, unit testing frameworks, and development tools.
- Knowledge of NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, JIRA, Docker, ECS, and EKS is beneficial or required as applicable to the role.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization technologies.
- Experience with performance tuning, application optimization, code reviews, and software testing.
- Experience with healthcare payer or PBM systems, clearinghouses, or pharmacy operations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and independent-working skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
