Base Salary
$125k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage GPU and CPU infrastructure deployments to Top Secret datacenters.
- Support GPU-as-a-service offerings for external customers on bare-metal and virtualized platforms.
- Design, validate, and productize AI cluster solutions at 100,000-plus GPU scale.
- Develop automation for deploying and managing on-premises Kubernetes and AI clusters and operating systems.
- Deploy and manage databases, monitoring systems, distributed storage, and other core infrastructure.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to build scalable, operable, and maintainable products.
- Manage the full service lifecycle from design and deployment through operation and refinement.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, performance, and system availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or engineering plus at least one year of professional site reliability engineering or DevOps experience, or at least three years of such experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least one year of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or comparable infrastructure tools; containerization technologies such as OCI containers or Kubernetes; and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.
- Preferred qualifications include Python-based development, Kubernetes cluster administration, Linux boot and systems configuration, testing and continuous integration/build/deployment/monitoring practices, Bazel, Makefiles, performance optimization, distributed databases and data modeling, large-scale server automation, TCP/IP networking, cloud virtualization, and NVIDIA GPU deployment stacks.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed and travel domestically and globally when required.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance; active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR employment or authorization requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary is listed at $125,000-$165,000 for Level 1 and $145,000-$200,000 for Level 2.

- Employees may accrue paid sick time in Washington State, and company shuttles operate Monday through Friday from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office.
- The position may require extended hours, weekends, and future domestic or global travel.
