Responsibilities
- Design, implement, operate, and optimize cloud-based database infrastructures for company platforms.
- Use Infrastructure as Code and automation to ensure resilience and high quality.
- Optimize existing structures with regard to cost efficiency, information security, and architectural standards.
- Define and continuously develop monitoring requirements.
- Implement changes to resolve incidents and user support requests.
- Work in interdisciplinary project and product teams and lead or co-lead relevant IT projects.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or comparable training.
- Professional experience in a comparable role in an agile environment using Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Experience with AWS RDS across distributed accounts in an AWS organization and/or cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience administering Oracle databases, including DBA, schema, data model analysis, and development.
- Practical experience with cloud databases such as AWS Cloud Databases and/or databases on Azure.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience with network monitoring, monitoring and logging, and ensuring IT security.
- Ideally, understanding of Linux and TCP/IP networks.
- Fluent English and good German language skills.
