Responsibilities
- Design and maintain systems governing human and service access to AWS environments.
- Manage and scale Teleport infrastructure for secure access to servers, databases, and Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop automated AWS IAM workflows and Just-In-Time access solutions.
- Maintain Terraform infrastructure for access-related components and security policies.
- Integrate security policies into infrastructure provisioning and automate authorization flows for regulatory compliance.
- Support internal and external audits, identify access-control gaps, and drive remediation initiatives.
- Create monitoring and alerting for access patterns and resolve authentication and authorization issues.
- Lead technical projects, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, improve tooling and code quality, and contribute to incident follow-up and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Production expertise with AWS, including IAM, Organizations, and multi-account security.
- Hands-on experience with access-management tools, preferably Teleport or similar PAM/JIT solutions.
- Strong Terraform experience managing cloud resources and security policies.
- Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals, including OIDC, SAML, SSH, TLS, and TCP/IP.
- Programming experience with Go and/or Python for automating security workflows.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and translating audit requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes from an access and RBAC perspective.
- Ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers, communicate with engineering audiences, and work autonomously.
- Proactive, security-focused approach to solving complex permission and access issues.
