Responsibilities
- Implement and enhance applications throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Translate requirements into technical designs, application code, UI layouts, and functioning components.
- Develop full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, and UI/UX components.
- Create and execute unit tests, conduct code reviews, enforce code standards, and remediate defects.
- Design and lead complex software solutions while optimizing performance, scalability, reliability, and user experience.
- Provide on-call escalation, respond to incident inquiries, and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Mentor Associate Software Engineers and Engineer I colleagues and provide technical supervision and peer coaching.
- Collaborate across teams and drive initiatives involving GitHub, Copilot, or AWS migration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, including full-stack, frontend, backend, and UI/UX engineering across the SDLC.
- Preferred: 8 or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in at least two, ideally three, programming languages and experience maintaining at least three applications.
- Experience with Go, Java, JavaScript, Microsoft Azure Functions, Microsoft Azure SQL, AWS development, React.js, Angular, and Flutter SDK.
- Ability to work autonomously, supervise or guide peers technically, and demonstrate business knowledge in financial services and marketing domains.
- Ability to participate in an evening or weekend on-call rotation.
