Responsibilities
- Develop application features, enhancements, fixes, and software designs aligned with established architecture.
- Define and stabilize API contracts, dependencies, versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
- Provide global production support, troubleshoot application and OCI issues, and improve playbooks and alerts.
- Define unit and integration test strategies, implement functional and non-functional testing, and improve observability and error logging.
- Perform debugging, performance profiling, scalability improvements, maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
- Lead code reviews, uphold coding and security standards, and drive quality and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with QA, team leads, customers, and cross-functional partners on feature delivery and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and customer support.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining application software across the software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of software architecture, API design and integration, testing, debugging, observability, and performance optimization.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable designs and implementation plans.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex application and production issues, including issues involving OCI services.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, coding standards, quality assurance, and software maintenance.
- Ability to independently manage deliverables, prioritize work, collaborate across teams, and mentor other engineers.
