Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement event-driven integrations using AWS SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Own service deployment and infrastructure management on AWS EC2, including IAM policy governance.
- Develop scalable, reliable, production-grade code and support testing with JUnit and acceptance testing.
- Design secure service-to-service and user-facing APIs using OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication.
- Address distributed-systems concerns including service communication, tracing, centralized logging, circuit breaking, data consistency, and caching.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, resolve complex issues, and coach team members.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 and Java 17, including streams, lambdas, concurrency, and the Collections API.
- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, REST APIs, dependency injection, configuration management, and SQL.
- Practical experience with AWS SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2, auto-scaling groups, security groups, and IAM.
- Proven experience designing and building distributed microservices systems at scale.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT-based authentication, API gateway patterns, service discovery, load balancing, distributed tracing, centralized logging, circuit breaking, eventual consistency, saga patterns, and idempotent consumers.
- Exposure to Redis for caching or distributed locking.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, continuous-learning, and coaching abilities.
