Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of backend microservices using Java 8, Java 17, and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement event-driven integrations using AWS SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Manage service deployment and AWS EC2 infrastructure, including IAM policy governance.
- Write scalable, reliable, well-tested production code and conduct code reviews.
- Design distributed microservices systems with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Implement API authentication, caching, distributed locking, tracing, logging, circuit breaking, and data consistency strategies.
- Maintain application documentation and coach team members through shared technical expertise.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 and Java 17, including streams, lambdas, concurrency, and the Collections API.
- Hands-on Spring Boot experience with REST APIs, dependency injection, and configuration management.
- Experience with Spring Data JPA, ORM, SQL query design, query optimization, schema design, and indexing.
- Practical experience with AWS SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2 instance management, auto-scaling groups, security groups, and AWS IAM.
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 and JWT-based authentication for service-to-service and user-facing APIs.
- Proven experience designing and building distributed microservices systems at scale.
- Knowledge of service discovery, load balancing, distributed tracing, centralized logging, circuit breaking, eventual consistency, saga patterns, idempotent consumers, and Redis.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, continuous learning, and team coaching abilities.
