Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end BSS solution design for NTN products, services, and partner integrations from requirements through high-level and detailed design.
- Define architectures spanning product catalogue, order management, mediation, rating, charging, invoicing, CRM, partner management, and wholesale settlement.
- Evaluate BSS platforms and design integrations with OSS, NMS, ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and MNO partner systems.
- Define TM Forum-compliant APIs, CDR/EDR mediation flows, data models, entity relationships, and schemas for billing, product, and subscriber domains.
- Translate pricing models, bundles, and promotions into BSS designs and support MNO partner onboarding and technical discussions.
- Produce solution design documents, interface control documents, interface specifications, HLDs, LLDs, and gap analyses.
- Oversee BSS delivery across design, build, system integration testing, and UAT phases.
- Establish BSS design standards, ensure revenue assurance and compliance controls, mentor junior engineers, and improve solution quality, performance, and observability.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in telecom BSS, including at least 3–4 years in solution design or solution architecture.
- Experience designing end-to-end BSS solutions across at least two domains such as product catalogue, order management, charging and billing, mediation, CRM, or partner and wholesale management.
- Hands-on experience with BSS platforms such as Amdocs, Ericsson BSCS/CRM, Nokia/Netcracker, Comviva, Oracle BRM, CSG, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of TM Forum eTOM, SID, TAM, and Open APIs, including TMF620, TMF622, TMF632, and TMF641.
- Knowledge of CDR/EDR processing, mediation pipelines, real-time and offline charging, and revenue assurance.
- Experience designing RESTful and event-driven APIs and microservices integrations, including Kafka or messaging architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language among Java, Go, or Python sufficient to review and guide implementation.
- Experience with relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL and data modelling for BSS domains.
- Familiarity with roaming, interconnect, and wholesale settlement processes, plus strong technical documentation skills.
- Preferred experience includes NTN, satellite, or MVNO BSS; 5G core charging architecture; cloud-native BSS on AWS, GCP, or Azure; usage-based IoT/M2M billing; TM Forum or equivalent certification; 3GPP NTN standards; wholesale BSS; and DCH/FCH settlement processes.
