Base Salary
$135k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing solutions using modern frameworks.
- Design and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Develop and maintain integrations between internal and external systems.
- Build and enhance agentic AI applications to solve business problems.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, operations, and engineering teams.
- Contribute to backend services and APIs for data products and reporting applications.
- Occasionally develop frontend features and dashboards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and AI systems.
- Implement data governance and quality checks.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing production-grade data solutions.
- Experience with modern data platforms like Databricks, Spark, and Kafka.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing architectures.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience building APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and AI agents.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining various types of tests.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors while ensuring project quality.
