Base Salary
$200k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own AWS systems, identify gaps, and drive operational improvements across the USPTO cloud environment.
- Serve as a final escalation point with the Program Manager to help ensure response SLAs are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to define technical requirements and objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation oversight of secure, highly available, automated cloud solutions.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers.
- Build cloud adoption strategies with senior leadership, enterprise architecture teams, and agency personnel.
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of infrastructure improvements and respond proactively to customer needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT or digital transformation experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architectures and implementations.
- Experience leading multi-tenant cloud systems, including landing zones and multi-account systems.
- Experience managing and developing team members.
- Experience developing and managing highly available, secure, and automated solutions aligned with best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder eligibility for Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience with DevOps or DevSecOps methodologies and Terraform, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Professional cloud certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience bridging on-premises systems with cloud environments is preferred.
