Responsibilities
- Lead SAP BTP application development using CAP with Node.js or Java and Fiori/UI5.
- Design CDS entities, associations, service definitions, annotations, OData V4 services, and REST APIs.
- Develop SAP HANA Cloud data models, including calculation views and stored procedures.
- Implement CAP service handlers, event-based logic, Fiori elements, and SAP Flexible Programming Model applications.
- Build low-code/no-code applications and workflows using SAP Build Apps and SAP Business Process Automation.
- Manage source code, CI/CD, MTA packaging and deployment, connectivity, roles, and authorizations.
- Integrate applications using SAP Integration Suite and Event Mesh.
- Develop secure, modular, reusable Node.js code and troubleshoot production issues.
- Translate SAP business processes into AI-driven workflows using Agentic AI patterns and SAP AI services.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, product, engineering, data, customer, integration, and workflow teams.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required; the posting also specifies 10+ years of SAP BTP application development and solution delivery experience.
- Hands-on SAP BTP pro-code development experience with CAP using Node.js or Java.
- Strong proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5, Fiori elements, OData service design, and SAP Flexible Programming Model.
- Practical experience with SAP HANA Cloud modeling, calculation views, and stored procedures.
- Knowledge of XSUAA, OAuth2, JWT tokens, Role Collections, BTP subaccounts, service provisioning, connectivity, and authorization management.
- Proficiency with npm, Express.js, sap/xssec, and sap/xsenv.
- Experience with SAP Build Apps, SAP Business Process Automation, DevOps, Git-based CI/CD, and cds watch.
- Experience with event-based or microservice application design, SAP Integration Suite, and BTP lifecycle management.
- Experience with GenAI development tools such as SAP Build Code, Build Apps, or Joule Studio, and with transforming SAP business processes using AI and Agentic AI.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education and a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication, or an equivalent qualification.
- SAP certifications, BPM tools such as Signavio, SAP standard AI features, supply chain or FI domain experience, and SAP Business AI certification are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, coordination, collaboration, adaptability, and client-facing demonstration skills are required.
