Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for custom modem and beamformer silicon ASICs
- Write flight-critical software supporting antenna operation throughout the satellite lifecycle
- Implement antenna measurement techniques as part of the CI/CD process
- Analyze on-orbit performance data, investigate improvements, and debug issues
- Develop production RF test features to verify factory hardware
- Design and build automated measurement systems for phased arrays operating at 10–20 GHz
- Provide software engineering expertise and mission-critical support to the Payload Engineering organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
- At least one year of programming experience in embedded C, C++, or Rust, with internships, collegiate clubs, and project work accepted
- Preferred understanding of RF fundamentals and/or communications theory
- Preferred familiarity with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and radio-related laboratory measurement techniques
- Preferred experience with phased-array antenna systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous, and demanding startup environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines
- Must meet applicable U.S. Government ITAR authorization requirements
