Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable, secure infrastructure platforms for large-scale Linux environments.
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and operation of OpenStack, secrets management, package management, software promotion pipelines, and platform lifecycle services.
- Develop automation and self-service capabilities using infrastructure-as-code, Ansible, Python, Go, and Bash.
- Improve observability and reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, incident management, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, and service health reporting.
- Collaborate with security, platform, and engineering teams to troubleshoot distributed systems, strengthen infrastructure maturity, provide technical leadership and mentorship, and support a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Linux Systems Engineering, or a related area, including large-scale production operations.
- Strong Linux systems administration expertise, including troubleshooting, performance analysis, storage, filesystems, networking, and operating system internals.
- Hands-on experience with OpenStack or comparable cloud infrastructure platforms and understanding of distributed systems and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency with automation, configuration management, and software delivery using Ansible, Python, Go, Bash, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD platforms.
- Experience using AI-assisted development or troubleshooting with review, testing, refinement, and guardrails for sensitive data and production changes.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives through production operations, incident response, root cause analysis, and cross-functional problem solving.
- Preferred experience with HashiCorp Vault, Linux package repositories, RPM ecosystems, GPG signing workflows, Linux kernel live patching, host-based security controls, network segmentation, SOX, SLIs, SLOs, and service-level reporting.
