Responsibilities
- Work on software development efforts and collaborate with other teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.
- Design, code, modernize, and support large-scale, mission-critical, cloud-native applications.
- Implement cloud-based enterprise software using pipeline technologies across global data centers.
- Design and architect high-volume, highly available, distributed systems and data platforms.
- Build and integrate generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI-powered enterprise platforms.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical roadmaps, engineering standards, cloud transformation, and AI adoption initiatives.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from concept through production deployment while balancing scalability, security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product, architecture, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Support customers in achieving their goals with the company’s software services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and 10 years of progressive software engineering experience focused on Java/J2EE enterprise application development, or a high school diploma/GED and 14 years of such experience.
- Expert-level experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale, mission-critical, cloud-native enterprise applications.
- Deep expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Experience architecting high-volume, highly available, distributed systems in public-cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience building and integrating AI-powered enterprise platforms and intelligent automation solutions.
- Experience with multi-cloud architectures across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, with EKS preferred.
- Expertise with AWS services including S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, IAM, SNS, and SQS.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data architecture, scalability, resiliency, and performance tuning.
- Expertise with PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and OpenSearch in distributed environments.
- Experience designing highly available, horizontally scalable data platforms using Cassandra and other distributed database technologies.
- Expertise with asynchronous processing, event streaming, and messaging platforms including Apache Kafka.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Understanding of secure coding, test automation, continuous integration and delivery, observability, monitoring, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across executive, business, product, and engineering audiences.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card and meet applicable government access requirements.
- Preferred healthcare experience with HL7, FHIR, X12, EMR/EHR integrations, and HIPAA-compliant systems.
- Preferred experience with healthcare interoperability platforms, high-volume transaction processing, MinIO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, Zero Trust, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Agile, Scrum, and SAFe.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers, lead cross-functional teams, influence architecture decisions, and provide technical leadership for strategic initiatives.
