Base Salary
$148k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
- Design application technical infrastructure, including databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
- Define evaluation methodologies, metrics, benchmarks, scenario coverage, and sim-to-real approaches for autonomy and robotics systems.
- Define simulation requirements and partner with Simulation on validation strategy.
- Establish safety validation and deployment-readiness criteria for autonomous machines.
- Lead evaluation and deployment of new technologies and define architectural roadmaps, standards, patterns, and technology decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical direction across multiple engineering organizations without direct authority.
Requirements
- Progressive software engineering and architecture experience focused on autonomy validation and simulation at a senior or principal level.
- Experience defining evaluation methodology, metrics, and benchmarks for autonomy or robotics systems.
- Experience with sim-to-real methodology, scenario design, and coverage analysis for autonomous behavior.
- Understanding of safety validation and readiness criteria for deploying autonomous machines.
- Strong knowledge of application design, application architecture, platform architecture, target architecture, and requirements analysis.
- Ability to influence senior leaders, mentor and coach others, and persuade stakeholders regarding technologies, applications, and solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile SDLC implementation in public cloud environments, including environment management, test automation, peer review, CI/CD, and resource optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive issues.
