Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on user stories, present results, and track defects through closure.
- Prepare, maintain, and execute automated test scripts while preserving traceability from requirements through test cases and automation.
- Perform functional, non-functional, API/XML, front-end, back-end, regression, smoke, black-box, and non-black-box testing.
- Review test coverage and automation approaches with customers and construct end-to-end business scenarios aligned with business objectives.
- Track test execution milestones and report issues, dependencies, risks, and potential project timeline impacts.
- Lead and mentor test engineers and provide guidance to colleagues on test coverage and test cases.
- Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
- Identify and maintain environment and test data requirements.
- Develop detailed product knowledge and maintain process compliance and related documentation.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with API/XML testing and Selenium with Java.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience with JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with front-end and back-end testing using Java and Selenium.
- Experience working in Agile/Waterfall and onsite/offshore coordination models.
- In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing processes.
- Detailed understanding of smoke, black-box, non-black-box, and regression testing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business clients and technical teams.
- Financial-domain experience preferred.
