Base Salary
$96k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure endpoint and network architectures.
- Develop custom security tools to automate detection, analysis, and response.
- Support resolution of production security issues and help engineering teams implement cybersecurity best practices.
- Participate in design reviews, maintain technical documentation, and contribute to development practices.
- Mentor teammates, explain complex technical concepts, and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Maintain knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network or endpoint security architecture and administration, ideally with an IT operations background.
- Experience maintaining mission-critical cloud architectures and familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC2, and HIPAA compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security technologies including EDR, PAM, and DLP, plus macOS enterprise management.
- Strong automation skills using security tool APIs and languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or Bash.
- Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code and source version control using Git/GitHub, along with a strong understanding of networks, compute architectures, and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a commitment to mentoring and simplifying complex technical concepts.
- Foundational knowledge of responsible AI and LLM use in security contexts.
- Preferred qualifications include ChatOps automation, open-source software and dependency management, object/document data storage, Zero Trust network architecture, ZTNA, SASE, VDI, IAM protocols, cloud or cloud security certifications, and certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
