Base Salary
$120k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engineer, administer, maintain, patch, and upgrade the production HashiCorp Vault platform.
- Support secure credential storage, retrieval, password rotation, permissions, and access controls for internal applications.
- Troubleshoot application integrations, APIs, authentication, database connectivity, load balancing, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation to improve platform administration, reliability, and efficiency.
- Partner with application developers, information security teams, infrastructure engineers, and Kubernetes teams on integrations and deployments.
- Contribute to platform architecture, modernization, scalability, resiliency, security, high availability, and disaster recovery improvements.
- Support production incidents and maintain platform availability and operational stability.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert, mentor team members, and maintain technical and end-user documentation.
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience administering, engineering, and supporting HashiCorp Vault.
- Strong information security, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering background.
- Experience with secrets management, credential security, password rotation, permissions, and access controls.
- Scripting, coding, or automation experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or a comparable language.
- Experience troubleshooting APIs and integrations between applications and security platforms.
- Experience partnering with software developers and understanding application workflows.
- Understanding of platform architecture, resiliency, scalability, load balancing, and high-availability environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
- Hands-on Git and Git-based platform experience, including multi-branch pull or merge requests and code review.
- Preferred qualifications include Python automation, Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure automation, CI/CD platforms, Vault upgrades, redesigns, replication, disaster recovery, cloud platform engineering or security, Linux, networking, database connectivity, and enterprise security infrastructure experience.
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
