Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software using Java, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features.
- Evaluate enhancement requests and help identify technical solutions.
- Contribute to automated testing and overall software quality.
- Maintain technical documentation and coding standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Write reports and business correspondence in English and present information to managers, clients, customers, technicians, and assemblers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, coding bootcamp completion, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming using Java.
- Familiarity with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, servlet containers such as Jetty, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Working knowledge of Git version control and experience using IntelliJ IDEA.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases, including SQL queries, JDBC connectivity, and ORM-based data access.
- Understanding of object-oriented, component-oriented, and service-oriented design principles.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, independence, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Exposure to GWT/SmartGWT is a plus.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies, ORM technologies, Linux administration or command-line tools, or public cloud platforms is preferred.
