Responsibilities
- Develop scalable infrastructure and tools for model training, edge deployment, egression, rules-based models, operations, and inference.
- Improve data processing pipelines, model training and inference workflows, testing infrastructure, instrumentation, monitoring, reliability, latency, and iteration speed.
- Adapt machine learning methods for distributed clusters, multicore SMP systems, and GPUs.
- Gather and synthesize requirements and collaborate with managers and technical leads on feature roadmaps.
- Deliver code in collaboration with the engineering team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Graduating between December 2027 and August 2029 with at least one additional quarter or semester remaining after the internship.
- Available to work 40 hours per week during one of the stated 12-week summer 2027 internship periods.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, with proficiency in C++, Python, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Coursework, project, research, or applied experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning.
- Experience with algorithms, software development, or systems engineering fundamentals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Preferred qualifications include software engineering experience, relevant autonomy or robotics experience, AI-assisted engineering tools, machine learning or related research, distributed systems, ML infrastructure, and accelerator programming.
