Responsibilities

  • Program and maintain small software application modules.
  • Code, test, debug, document, and validate software modules and system changes.
  • Develop web application modules and support electronic document management systems such as Laserfiche.
  • Create e-forms, workflows, business rules, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze and redesign workflow and business processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop test cases and perform functional, user acceptance, and system acceptance testing.
  • Participate in project planning, implementation, policy and procedure development, and project status reporting.
  • Collaborate with UBC Facilities, UBC IT, project managers, functional experts, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with web development using ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript is an asset.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and writing SQL queries is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation, policies, regulations, and technical information.
  • Ability to analyze and redesign workflow and business processes.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, communication, problem-solving, accountability, business process, and information systems knowledge.
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Benefits

  • Base compensation is CAD $6,631.67-$9,533.25 per month.
  • Job end date is September 1, 2027.
  • Applications are accepted until 11:59 PM on September 14, 2026.
  • The position is a staff, non-union role at UBC.
