Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend features and APIs for AI-powered engine inspection solutions.
- Use Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, and Azure to develop core backend systems.
- Optimize backend performance and API responsiveness for reliability and scale.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, AI, and business teams in a globally distributed environment.
- Contribute to quality assurance guidelines, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and developer tooling.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, architectural risks, and reliability issues.
- Apply secure software development practices and maintainable architecture standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in Python backend development for SaaS platforms.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, MongoDB, and Azure Cloud.
- Strong understanding of backend performance, API optimization, secure coding, and software architecture.
- Ability to communicate and defend design choices and work proactively in a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with Agile/Kanban environments and lean principles.
- Preferred: familiarity with Redis and Kubernetes, specifically AKS.
- Preferred: experience with enterprise or aviation software products and globally distributed teams.
