Base Salary
$170k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead by example through active coding, code review, troubleshooting, and establishing strong coding patterns and designs.
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of team features, including AI-powered capabilities using LLMs, retrieval, search, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Mentor engineers and improve the team’s code review practices.
- Own testing and reliability for shipped software and deliver against customer expectations and business timelines.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience with experience helping shape team direction.
- Strong full-stack skills, including backend services, frontend development, APIs, databases, and search systems; comparable modern-stack experience is accepted.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features involving LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, or search relevance.
- Strong execution, debugging, communication, unit testing, and integration testing skills.
- Preferred experience includes multimodal image and text embeddings, search, LangGraph or LangChain, model fine-tuning or adaptation, and e-commerce or marketplace products.
- Ability to learn quickly, work in an AI-native development environment, and share knowledge with the team.
