Responsibilities

Create and maintain environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages, including Helm values files and YAML manifests.
Implement STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC policy enforcement across IL environments.
Manage secrets-injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools and integrate them with automated deployment pipelines.
Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components and related services.
Coordinate with Kubernetes and Data Layer Engineers on version control, pipeline integrity, and integration testing for containerized services.
Provide cloud resource usage profiles and container/workload specifications to the infrastructure team for IL2, IL4, and IL5 deployments.
Implement cloud resource tagging, reconcile actual usage against estimates, and support workload scaling and cost optimization.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or five years of equivalent DevOps engineering experience.
Ability to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure management across cloud and on-premises environments.
Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP, security best practices, and monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, automating cloud infrastructure, and implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with microservices architecture, service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd, and observability tools.
Preferred certifications include Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
