Design Engineer

Responsibilities
- Build production-quality UI components and interactions for training, evaluation, and agent workflows.
- Own the quality of UI implementation across the platform.
- Build visualization and developer experience surfaces that help customers understand, debug, and trust improving models.
- Extend the product design language to the website and public presence.
- Create product demos, visuals, decks, and other sales collateral for the GTM team.
- Contribute to design systems and component libraries across the product, website, and collateral.
- Prototype, build, and polish product surfaces in collaboration with the founding team and customers.
Requirements
- Strong front-end or design engineering skills with TypeScript, React, CSS, and animations.
- Experience building polished, production-quality user interfaces.
- Strong product taste and clear opinions about software experience.
- Ability to prototype ideas quickly in hours rather than days.
- Systems thinking and the ability to build reusable, maintainable UI.
- Comfort working directly with customers and the founding team in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Experience with data visualization or complex technical UIs is a plus.
- Experience with observability, debugging, or evaluation interfaces is a plus.
- Background at high-craft product companies or developer tooling startups is a plus.
- Experience building AI-powered products or agent systems is a plus.
- Experience working closely with designers or operating as a design-minded engineer is a plus.
