Base Salary
$129k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and improve the Writer Design System for human and AI-agent developers.
- Design and build production-quality UI components and features from initial sketches through shipment.
- Deliver polished frontend work including micro-interactions, animation, accessibility improvements, and brand moments.
- Architect new design-system primitives and keep Figma, Markdown skills, Storybook, documentation, examples, and libraries synchronized.
- Shape design-to-code workflows and research tools and practices that improve productivity across the EPD organization.
- Partner with designers, product managers, and engineering leads to measure system adoption, close gaps, and uphold design-system standards.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of experience building production frontends with TypeScript and React.
- Experience owning a system, platform, or product surface end-to-end rather than only individual features.
- Strong knowledge of animation principles including easing curves, choreography, anticipation, follow-through, interruptibility, and perceived performance.
- Expert-level Figma proficiency with auto-layout, variants, variables, and Code Connect.
- Proficiency with Framer Motion, GSAP, and Lottie for web-based animation.
- A portfolio, side projects, GitHub work, or production examples demonstrating systems-level frontend and design-engineering work.
- Experience driving adoption of a design system or shared platform across an engineering organization and influencing technical or design direction.
- Experience with AI product surfaces including tool-call UIs, streaming responses, agent state, and dynamic UI rendering.
