Base Salary

$123k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own team-level architecture, engineering standards, technical decisions, and implementation trade-offs.
  • Design, architect, and deliver complex features across the full web application stack.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate implementation trade-offs and risks.
  • Build experimentation capabilities including analytics instrumentation, feature flags, and controlled rollouts.
  • Improve application quality, testing, observability, reliability, performance, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering on production investigations, root-cause analysis, and lasting fixes.
  • Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead responsible adoption of AI coding agents for implementation, testing, refactoring, documentation, and operational support.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on modern web application development.
  • Experience architecting and delivering complex production systems from design through production and setting technical direction.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux or comparable state-management technology.
  • Strong experience with Node.js, Express, and server-side JavaScript or TypeScript development.
  • Practical experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Mocha.
  • Experience designing and operating scalable, performant, resilient, accessible, secure, and maintainable applications.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, design guidance, and team-level technical decision-making.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles, including automated delivery, monitoring, and production support.
  • Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, customer focus, and willingness to critically evaluate AI coding assistant output.
