Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Adyen’s distributed, high-performance financial products platform.
- Contribute to architectural design decisions and improve platform scalability, robustness, reliability, and security.
- Develop core financial data processes and finance infrastructure.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and peers without managing them.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones, review code, communicate technical concepts, and help lead projects.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java.
- Previous experience mentoring developers and a deep understanding of software architecture and design.
- Proficiency in creating performant database queries and table structures.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, ownership, project leadership, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Fluent English communication in technical and non-technical contexts.
