Responsibilities

  • Develop mission-critical backend features and services for the Workato platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and synchronous/asynchronous AI execution.
  • Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
  • Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
  • Design and implement scalable, highly available distributed systems in collaboration with Infrastructure, SRE, and AI teams.
  • Contribute across the development lifecycle by writing efficient, testable code, evaluating system improvements, and supporting architectural reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • At least 8 years of industry experience.
  • At least 4 years of backend experience with Go.
  • Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems and understanding large web application components such as databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, and monitoring.
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
  • Preferred qualifications include Ruby on Rails, Docker, Redis-based caching, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, third-party REST APIs at scale, open-source contributions, and experience in DevOps, ML, DBA, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and full-cycle product delivery skills.
