Responsibilities
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, automated suites, and quality gates for functional, regression, integration, and system-level scenarios.
- Investigate, reproduce, triage, and technically enrich complex high-priority field issues using logs, monitoring systems, production data, network traces, and code-path analysis.
- Collaborate with Core Engineering to validate hypotheses, confirm failure points, validate fixes, and perform regression verification.
- Analyze field issues and customer service requests to identify systemic gaps in test coverage, observability, diagnostics, and product behavior.
- Build automation, scripts, and AI-assisted workflows while maintaining development and test environments for reproduction and validation.
- Track product-quality and field-health metrics, issue SLAs, release readiness, defect escape rates, automation coverage, and recurring issue elimination.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation with the ability to read, debug, and reason across distributed systems and microservices.
- Hands-on software quality engineering experience including test design, test automation, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience investigating production systems with logs, monitoring tools, and observability platforms.
- Understanding of APIs, client-server architectures, and modern distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise device management across Apple, Android, Windows, or similar platforms; sustaining, field, or production systems engineering; test automation frameworks; developer productivity tooling; observability platforms; and AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Rovo.
