Responsibilities
- Act as the primary engineering contact for assigned applications and drive technical accountability from third-party vendors.
- Perform incident root-cause analysis and deliver durable fixes while meeting scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
- Contribute hands-on to data modernization, application isolation, architecture hardening, upgrades, refactoring, resilience, scalability, and performance improvements.
- Review critical and high-severity security alerts and lead remediation with InfoSec, IAM, InfraOps, and Active Directory teams.
- Implement credential rotation, access-control enhancements, authentication hardening, corrective and preventive actions, audit readiness, and vulnerability remediation.
- Develop application-security dashboards and reporting for security posture, incident trends, operational health, data accuracy, and actionable insights.
- Participate in technical reviews, align designs with enterprise security standards, support compliance, and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in enterprise SaaS or application engineering.
- Knowledge of relational database concepts, integration technologies, virtualization, application interfaces, public-cloud platforms, and ITSM and/or ITIL.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform, third-party vendors in large organizations, and SQL for troubleshooting, data extraction, and reporting.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, source control, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred: animal-health or life-science industry experience, IoT project experience, SSRS or Power BI reporting experience, and Databricks knowledge.
